Arrest Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle

On July 25, 2012 at 9:06am the Lowell Police Reported to the Tyngsborough Police Department that a vehicle had just been stolen on Varnum Ave in Lowell and was last seen traveling toward Tyngsborough a description of the vehicle was given. An Officer working a Traffic Detail on Pawtucket Blvd observed the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle. The operator refused to stop for the officer. A Tyngsborough police officer on patrol on Pawtucket Blvd attempted to stop the vehicle the vehicle failed to stop reaching an estimated speed of 100mph. The Officer stopped pursuing the vehicle based on the speed of the vehicle and public safety. The vehicle was later located in Westminster Village in Lowell the operator had fled the vehicle. The Lowell Police Department responded to the area. They requested a response from the North Eastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council NEMLEC. To assist searching the area, for the suspect who was reported to be possibly armed.

During the course of the morning and early after noon the suspect was spotted in both Lowell and Tyngsborough.

At 12:50pm the suspect was observed jumping from the Tyngsborough Bridge intro the Merrimack River. The suspect was picked up by a rescue boat in the area of Sullivan Ice Cream.

The suspect was identified as Erik Livingstone age 24 of 6 Underhill Road Meriden, New Hampshire. He is being charged by Tyngsborough Police with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, failure to stop for a police officer, operating to endanger, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Arrest Breaking and Entering

On July 24, 2012 at 10:42am we received a 911 call reporting that a house was being broken into, the reporting party arrived at a vacant home on Old Tyng Road and heard banging inside.

Officer arrived to investigate and found Kevin Fuller, 38yrs old of 189 Middlesex Street and arrested him for Breaking and Entering Daytime for Felony, Malicious Destruction of Property over $250, and Trespassing.

He was booked at the police station to await bail.

2012 Mt. Paul Road Arrest

On July 22nd at 1:52 am the Tyngsborough Police Department responded to 7 Mount Paul Road after receiving a report of a threat involving a shotgun.  Upon arrival officers found three subjects outside the residence arguing, officers immediately secured the scene and conducted an investigation.  The investigation revealed that one subject, Sean Kelley had gone into his residence during an argument and retrieved a shotgun, as he came out of the residence he fired one round into the woods and then pointed it at another male subject.  Kelley then allegedly fired another round into a stack of wood pallets that were in his yard.

A firearm safe was retrieved from the residence as well as other evidence located at the scene.

Sean Kelley, 45 years old of 7 Mt. Paul Road in Tyngsborough was arrested and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a shotgun, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm with 500 feet of a building, discharging a firearm within 150 feet of a highway and assault with a dangerous weapons to wit a shotgun.

An investigation is ongoing.

Motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist

On July 18th, 2012 at 7pm a motor vehicle accident occurred involving a bicyclist on Parham Road in Tyngsborough.  The bicyclist was struck by a utility trailer being towed by a white box truck which was traveling in the same direction on Parham Road.  The bicyclist was identified as Michael Loiselle.  He sustained injuries to his arms and legs and was subsequently transported to Lowell General Hospital where he was treated and released.

The vehicle, a 2010 White box truck, was located a short time later and the operator was identified as Anthony Manning.  Upon investigation it was determined that the operator was not aware that his trailer had struck the bicyclist.

There are no charges pending at this time.

Residential Break & Entering Arrest

On July 16, 2012 Paul Plouffe, 28 years old of Tyngsborough, was arrested at his residence on Mascuppic Trail by Tyngsborough Detectives and uniformed officers.  This arrest was the result of an investigation into a break and entering into another residence on Mascuppic trail in which property was stolen.  Mr. Plouffe was held last night without bail and will be arraigned on Tuesday morning at Lowell District Court, he is being charged with B&E daytime for felony, destruction of property over $250 and larceny under $250.

On July 18, 2012, a result of further investigation, the Tyngsborough Police Department has also charged Donald Plouffe, 57 yrs. old of Tyngsborough, with receiving stolen property under $250, accessory before the fact to wit break and entering in the daytime and conspiracy.

Armed Burglary

At 11:00pm on Friday July 6th the Tyngsborough Police Department received a 911 call from 4 Rock Road reporting a possible home invasion and assault that had just occurred.  A subsequent investigation by officers revealed that five females had entered the residence without permission of the home owner.  Once inside the residence one of the females physically assaulted a female victim who was in her bedroom.  According to the victim and witnesses, the victim was struck with a phone and was physically attacked by the assailant.  The investigation revealed that the suspect stated that she was there to collect $100 that she claimed was owed to her by the victim.  The five females then left the residence.

A short time later Dracut Police located the suspect at her residence in Dracut, she was identified as Caitlin Sayer, 21 years old of Dracut.  She was arrested and transported back to the Tyngsborough Police Department where she was booked and charged with Armed Burglary.

It should be noted that this was not a random act; the parties knew each other and the victim.

An investigation is ongoing and additional charges may occur.

2012 July 5th Cars Broken into

During the early morning hours of July 4, 2012 Officers responded to the area of Lakeview Ave for the report of breaking and entering into motor vehicles. Upon investigation it was determined that 15 vehicles were entered by unknown suspects. The vehicles entered were unlocked. A variety of items were taken including electronics and loose change. The following roads were targeted Mascuppic Trail, Magnolia Ave, and Lakeview Ave.

We would like to remind citizens to lock their vehicles and remove valuables from the vehicles.

2012 June 30 Arrest Assault with Dangerous Weapon

Arrest for Assault with Dangerous Weapon

On June 29th at 10:26am Reserve Officer Kevin Ronan was working a paid detail directing traffic when he observed a vehicle operating erratically almost causing an accident.  Off. Ronan stopped the vehicle and questioned the operator and at that time detected a strong odor of marijuana.  Off. Cassella arrived to assist.

The operator was asked to step out of the vehicle and upon being questioned about something in his pocket he brandished a knife, opened the blade and turned it towards the officers.  The officers disarmed the subject and placed him under arrest.

He was identified as Matthew Kehoe 28yrs old, of 64 Steadman Street in Chelmsford MA.

Charged with (2) counts Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Marked lanes violation and failure to wear seat belt.
