April 26, 2013

Kimberly Lundberg, 38 yrs. old of Lynn, MA – Arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, a warrant for a past  larceny over $250 and an arrest warrant for a past charge of operating with a revoked drivers license.

April 27, 2013

Jovhani Ortega, 25 yrs. old of Lowell – Arrested for OUI Liquor, marked lanes violation and a stop sign violation.

James Mailea, 30 yrs. old of Dracut – 4 outstanding arrest warrants; the four warrants were issued for a past OUI charge and other motor vehicle related charges including operating with a suspended license, operating with a revoked registration and open container.

Elizabeth Jaiman, 23 yrs. old Lowell – charged with operating a vehicle with a revoked registration; will receive a summons.

Arrests / Summons – Saturday April 20th

April 20, 2013
On Saturday April 20, 2013 at 12:00am Tyngsborough Officers stopped a vehicle on
Pawtucket Boulevard. A subsequent sobriety test of the operator resulted in her arrest.
Anastasia Laskaris, 39 yrs. old of Lowell is charged with OUI Liquor and marked lanes
violation. She was booked at the Tyngsborough Police Department and her vehicle was
towed from the scene.

On Saturday April 20, 2013 at 1:55 a.m. a vehicle was stopped on Frost Road near the
Tyngsborough bridge. The operator was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Corey
Ruane, 22 yrs. old of Lowell was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended
driver’s license, Ruane will receive a summons to appear in court to answer the charge.

On Saturday April 20, 2013 at 3:06 a.m. Tyngsborough Officers responded to 7 Mount Paul
Road for a reported violent domestic disturbance taking place. Upon arrival officers found
a 26 yr. old female inside the residence who had obvious injuries, including bruises on her
face and legs. The alleged perpetrator had left the residence on foot prior to the arrival of
the police. A State Police K-9 was requested to respond to scene and a search was
conducted of the area however the subject was not located. The victim was transported to
Lowell General Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Scott Barrett, 32 yrs. old of Hudson,
NH is being charged with Domestic Assault & Battery and Assault and Battery with a
dangerous weapon. The Tyngsborough Police Department is asking the court in it’s
affidavit that an arrest warrant be issued for Barrett.

Arrests – Monday April 22nd

Monday April 22nd, 2013

On Monday April 22nd at 2:32 a.m. Tyngsborough officers stopped a vehicle on Sherburne
Ave. After checking on the status of the driver’s license it was found that the operator had
an active arrest warrant. Sean Griffin, 24 yrs. old of Lowell, was arrested on a default
warrant out of Ayer, he was transported to the Tyngsborough Police Department where he
was booked and held for arraignment at Lowell District Court on Monday morning.

On Monday April 22nd at 3:01 a.m. Tyngsborough officers responded to 80 Sherburne Ave.
for a reported violent domestic taking place. Upon arrival officers found a 20 year old
female in the residence who stated that she was struck in the face by her ex-boyfriend. She
reported that he ran from the residence when he realized that the police were called.
Massachusetts State Police k-9 units responded and aided in the search for the suspect
however he was unable to be located. Joseph Estrella, 20 yrs. old of Medford, MA, is being
charged with Assault & Battery (domestic). We will request that an arrest warrant be
issued for Estrella in this matter.

Arrests / Summons issued – Sunday April 21st

Sunday April 21st, 2013

On Sunday April 21st at 0149 a.m. Tyngsborough officers stopped a vehicle on Middlesex
Road. As a result of the stop officers charged the operator, Brian Ivester, 28yrs. old of
Lowell, with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a
suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Ivester will receive a
summons to appear in court, his vehicle was towed from the scene.

On Sunday April 21st at 8:15 p.m. Tyngsborough officers responded to 72 Tyng Road for a
reported domestic taking place. Upon arrival officers found that a domestic assault had
taken place and that while the victim was attempting to call 911 the perpetrator took the
phone from her hand and broke it. Another tenant in the vehicle called the police.
Matthew Simard, 21 yrs. old of Tyngsborough was arrested and charged with Domestic
Assault, Destruction of property under $250 and intimidating a witness. He was
transported to the Tyngsborough Police Department and booked, he will be arraigned at
Lowell District Court on April 22nd.

Arrest – April 17th

On April 17th, 2013 at 2:15 a.m. Tyngsborough Police Officers stopped a vehicle on Frost Road for speeding.
A subsequent roadside sobriety test revealed that the operator was under the influence of alcohol. Christopher
Gendron, 24yrs. old of Dracut was arrested and charged with OUI Liquor and speeding.

He was transported to the Tyngsborough Police Department where he was booked; his vehicle was towed
from the scene.

Arrest – April 17th

On April 17th, 2013 at 2:15 a.m. Tyngsborough Police Officers stopped a vehicle on Frost Road for speeding.

Arrests / Summons Issued

On April 13, 2013 at 12:35am Tyngsborough Police Officers stopped a vehicle being operated on Sherburne Ave.  The operator, Shawna Mammino, 33 yrs. old of Dracut, was found to have an active arrest warrant and was operating with a suspended drivers license.  Mammino was arrested and booked at the Tyngsborough Police Department, her vehicle was towed from the scene.

On April 14, 2013 at 12:05am Tyngsborough Police Officers stopped a vehicle traveling on Middlesex Road.  The operator, Bounhange Khammanivongtang, 18 yrs. old of Lowell, was found to be operating with a suspended driver’s license and was in possession of alcohol.  He was then arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and minor transporting / carrying alcoholic beverages.  A small amount of marijuana was found in the vehicle as well; a minor in the vehicle was issued a civil citation for possession of under an ounce.

On April 14, 2013 at 2:10am Tyngsborough Police Officers stopped a vehicle on Pawtucket Boulevard.  A subsequent sobriety test of the operator revealed that he was intoxicated.  Brian Cardona, 25yrs. old of Lowell, was arrested and charged with OUI Liquor, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and a motor vehicle lights violation. He was then transported to the Tyngsborough Police Department where he was booked; his vehicle was towed from the scene.

On April 15, 2013 at 4:20pm Tyngsborough Police Officers responded to the area of Frost Road near Poitras for a report of a vehicle being operated erratically.  Tyngsborough Police Officers responding to the area observed a vehicle matching the description given by the caller on Sherburne Ave.  Officers then stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Stephanie Godfrey, 22 yrs. old of Tyngsborough.  A subsequent investigation resulted in Godfrey being charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and operating a motor vehicle to endanger.  She was issued a citation and will receive a summons to appear in court to answer the charges; the vehicle was driven from the scene by a licensed operator in the vehicle.

On April 16, 2013 at 1:01am Tyngsborough Police Officers responded to 74 Parham Road for a reported domestic disturbance taking place.  As a result of an investigation it was found that a female resident had been threatened.   Gudmundur Knutsson, 51 yrs. old of Tyngsborough, was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault.

Arrests – April 11th

On April 10th, 2013 at 11:05pm Tyngsborough police officers responded to the area of Pawtucket Boulevard for
a report of a vehicle that was being driven erratically and had struck two vehicles. With the assistance of the
Dunstable Police Department the vehicle in question was then located and stopped on Kendall Road near
Locust Ave. The vehicle had substantial damage to the driver’s side front and rear doors as well as damage to
the driver’s side tire. A subsequent sobriety test was conducted on the operator. The operator, Troy Weston,
38yrs. old of Framingham, MA, was arrested and charged with OUI Liquor and two counts of leaving the scene
of property damage.

 
On April 11th, 2013 at 2:30am Tyngsborough police officers along with two detectives from the Nashua Police
Department responded to 400 Dunstable Road in an attempt to locate a fugitive from justice. William O’Neill,
54 yrs. old of Tyngsborough, was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Tyngsborough Police
Department where he was booked. He is being held in Massachusetts pending extradition to New Hampshire
for an outstanding warrant.

Drowning

On April 9th, 2013 just prior to noon a 15 year old male was found unresponsive and pulled from the pool at the
Greater Lowell Technical High School in Tyngsborough. Tyngsborough Police, Fire, Trinity Ambulance and
Greater Lowell Paramedics responded. Emergency personnel performed CPR on the male at the scene, he
was then transported to Lowell General Hospital where he was subsequently declared deceased.
The victim was identified as Danny Svay, 15 yrs old of Lowell, who is a student at the Greater Lowell Technical
High School.

 
This appears to be an accidental drowning; An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the drowning
are ongoing and are being conducted by the Tyngsborough Police Department, Massachusetts State Police in
conjunction with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. The Greater Lowell Technical High School is fully
cooperating with the investigation.
