Derek Tanner, 29 yrs. old of Lowell – Arrested for a default warrant which had been issued as a result of a past malicious destruction of property over $250 charge


Small fire at Village Lane Condominium’s

At 10:15 am on April 22 a small fire was reported at 10 Village Lane, unit 8 which is a condominium complex.  The fire was apparently caused by lint build-up in a dryer vent, quick action by the Tyngsborough Fire Department prevented the fire from spreading. Damage was limited to a dryer vent and surrounding walls.

Criminal charges / summons issued

Joshua Halbruner, 32 yrs. old of Littleton – charged with operating to endanger, marked lanes violation and speed greater than reasonable and proper (these charges were the result of an investigation into a one vehicle accident on Swan Road that occurred on Sunday April 20th)

Phillip Gagnon, 20 yrs. old of Tyngsborough – charged with carrying a dangerous weapon (2nd offense)

Joshua Cassidy, 29 yrs. old of Tyngsborough – charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle

Steven Gatti, 24 yrs. old of Lowell – charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, and operating an uninsured vehicle

Christopher Concepcion, 23 yrs. old of Lowell – charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers license (subsequent offense)

Unused or expired medication drop off day

On Saturday April 26th between the hours of 10am – 2pm the Tyngsborough Police Department is taking part in an initiative by the Drug Enforcement Agency encouraging residents to drop off all unused or expired medication at the Police Department.  There will be bins located in the lobby of the Police Station, there are no questions asked, so please keep your family safe and drop of all of your unused or expired medication.  The medication is transported the same day to a facility where the medication is destroyed.  Also taking part in this initiative is the Tyngsborough Family pharmacy located at 138 Middlesex Road, drop off can be made at either location, see the flyer below;

Andre Ferreira, 32 yrs. old of Lowell – charged with Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle

Domestic Assault to Murder Arrest

On Saturday April 12th at 11:50pm Tyngsborough Police Officers responded to a Long Pond Road residence for a reported unwanted person.  While responding officers were advised that a second caller had reported that there may be a firearm involved.

Upon arrival officers found a 66 year old female victim who reported that she had woken up to find that her son, who was not invited in her home, was in her bedroom sitting on a chair.  She immediately told him to leave however he refused and pulled out what the victim described as a large hunting knife and told her he was going to kill her.   After a brief confrontation with the victim, this subject fled prior to police arriving; a short time later Tyngsborough officers located this subject in Dracut just over the Tyngsborough town line.

The Dracut Police Department k-9 unit and State Police arrived to assist Tyngsborough officers; they subsequently searched for the knife used in the assault however it was not located.

Robert Connorton, 46 yrs. old of Lowell was arrested and held at the Tyngsborough Police Department over the weekend, he will be arraigned at Lowell District Court on Monday morning, he is charged with;

  • Assault to Murder
  • Armed Assault to Murder a person over 60 years of age
  • Intimidation of a witness

Funeral in Plymouth for Officer Maloney

A Tyngsborough Police motorcycle officer is taking part in the funeral today for Plymouth Police Officer Greg Maloney who was killed in the line of duty last week as a result of a motorcycle accident.  Rest in peace Greg and thank you for your service to your community, Greg leaves behind his wife and two teenage sons.
