Arrest; Vehicle breaks on Patriot Rd/Anderson Way/Alpine Way
On Friday June 27th at 2:08pm Tyngsborough Police Officers responded to the area of Patriot Road for a suspicious male in the area. Upon arrival officers found a suspicious vehicle in the area which was unoccupied. A resident reported that this subject had just broken into a vehicle on Patriot Rd. and then ran into the woods. Officers located this subject a short time later on Scribner Road.
A subsequent investigation revealed that this subject had broken into (3) vehicles at residences located on Patriot Rd, Anderson Drive and Alpine Way. Further the subject walked into an open garage door at one of the residences and broke into the vehicle parked inside. With the assistance of Westford PD’s K-9 unit most of the stolen property, which included purses, credit cards and jewelry, was recovered in wooded areas near the homes. This subject was also found to have diamond earrings in his ears that belonged to the people that the company was working for.
Additionally it was learned that this subject was working for a moving company, Atlas Van Lines, who was in the process of moving residents on Anderson Drive. According to another employee this subject had walked off the job on Anderson Drive at around 1:30pm.
David Frechette, 29 yrs. old of Methuen was arrested and charged with the following;
- B&E Motor Vehicle in the daytime to commit a felony
- B&E of a dwelling house in the daytime to commit a felony
- (4) counts of larceny over $250
- Receiving stolen property under $250
Additional property found on Frechette may be linked to break & entering incidents in Tewksbury as well, Tewksbury PD has been notified.

3rd Annual Touch a Truck Event (Saturday June 14th 10am-1pm)
Please join us for the 3rd annual “touch a truck” event being held in the Pheasant Lane Mall Parking lot behind Smokey Bones on Saturday June 14th from 10am – 1pm. We expect to have a Blackhawk Helicopter as well as Police (motorcycles, swat vehicles, mobile command vehicle), Fire, Highway and other emergency type vehicles on hand. Entrance fee donation is $2 per person, there will be food on sale from local vendors, a moon bounce, mystery machine from the Lowell Spinners, vehicles from Jack Wagner racing, and much more.
All proceeds are donated to the Jack Trottier Foundation and the Simon Youth Fund! This is a great event and every penny raised goes to these great causes, hope to see you there!
