4 way stop at Lakeview & Coburn

Lakeview Ave At Coburn Rd | All Way STOP Begins Tues. Aug. 4th

The intersection of Lakeview Avenue at Coburn Road will be converted to an All Way STOP (sometimes referred to as a 4-Way STOP) on Tuesday, August 4th as a safety improvement, as was discussed by the Board of Selectmen at a Public Hearing on Monday, April 27, 2015.

Additional signage is currently being added to the intersection and the transition is expected to be completed by Tuesday, August 4th. Please use caution when traveling through the intersection due to the new traffic pattern.

Domestic arrest / taser deployment

On Thursday July 30th, 2015 at 4:15 pm Tyngsborough officers responded to the area of Madeline Terrace for a report of a domestic disturbance.  While officers were on scene investigating the incident they discovered one of the subjects involved.

As the investigation progressed the subject involved became uncontrollable and aggressive toward officers forcing an officer to deploy his Taser at which point the subject was placed into custody.  The subject nor the officer suffered additional injuries.

The suspect, a 31 yr. old male of Tyngsborough, (name is being withheld per new public records law) was arrested and charged with;

(1) count of Domestic Assault

(1) count of Intimidating a witness

(1) count of Resisting Arrest

Jonathan Patella, 26 yrs. old of Hudson, NH – charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle


Auburn Dean, 21 yrs. old of Pelham, NH – charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle

James Campbell, 54 yrs. old of Dracut – charged with violation of an abuse prevention order


Kyndra Cook, 21 yrs. old of Lowell – charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle


All defendants are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law


Drug Trafficking arrest

On Thursday July 23rd Officers of the Tyngsborough, Billerica & Tewksbury Police Departments’ seized 161 individual packets of heroin (approximately 100.8 grams) and (3) individual packets of cocaine (approximately 2.7 grams) at an apartment at 400 Dunstable Road. This search was based on an investigation initiated by the Billerica & Tewksbury Police Departments’.

The Tyngsborough Police Department is charging Carlos Lebron, 25 yrs. old of Tyngsborough with;

  • Trafficking in Heroin
  • Possession with intent to distribute cocaine

Lebron was not at the residence at the time of the search, he was later arrested and arraigned at Lowell District Court and is being held on $10,000 cash bail.

Power outage

At 1:55 pm a transformer on Middlesex Road exploded causing a fire near the railroad tracks South of the Tyngsborough Bridge, emergency personnel are on scene.  We expect significant power outages and will update when we have additional information from National Grid.
