Arrests

34 yr. old male of Hudson, NH – OUI Liquor, Reckless operation of a motor vehicle, destruction of property over $250, marked lanes violations, speeding over reasonable and proper rate

19 yr. old male of Tyngsborough – Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (knife), Threat to Commit a Crime with knife, Threat to Commit a Crime with a firearm, Malicious Destructions of Property (2 counts)

41 yr. old male of Tyngsborough – (9) outstanding arrest warrants for past charges of;  Larceny by check over $250, Larceny by check under $250, uttering false check, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers license, Larceny over $250 by single scheme

59 yr. old male of Tewksbury – Assault & Battery on a family or household member, intimidation of a witness

 

Summons

48 yr. old male of Lowell – Operating an uninsured motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle

20 yr. old male of Lowell – Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, uninsured

46 yr. old male of Nashua – Possession of Class B drug (Methamphetamine)

27 yr. old female of Woburn – Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers license

 

All defendants are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law

 

Lax & the Law, time changed for this Thursday

The start time for Lax and the Law this Thursday, March 2, has been changed to 5pm – 6pm (it was initally 7-8pm) to avoid conflicting with the THS and GLTHS Boys Basketball Tournament Game.

Criminal charges resulting from motor vehicle crash into farm stand

On February 21st at 4:10pm Tyngsborough officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle had crashed into a farm stand located on Frost & Lawndale Road.  Officers arrived to find the operator of the vehicle bleeding from the area of his face, the operator told the officers he slid off the roadway, striking the farm stand.  The weather was clear at this time and the roadways were clear and dry.

Extensive damage was done to the farm stand which was unoccupied at the time.  The operator was transported to Lowell General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Gerard Ledoux, 34 yrs. old of Hudson, NH was charged via summons process with the following;

  • OUI Liquor
  • Reckless operation of a motor vehicle
  • Destruction of property
  • Marked lanes violation
  • Speeding over reasonable and proper rate

40 yr. old of male Lowell – Distribution of Class C drug (Clonazepam), posession of class B drug (Fetanyl), Possession of class E drug (3 counts), operating an uninsured/motor vehicle, attaching wrong motor vehicle plates, allowing unregistered motor vehicle to be operated.

29 yr. old male of Gardner – Receiving stolen property over $250

52 yr. old male of Jaffrey, NH – Receiving stolen property over $250

49 yr. old male of Dracut – Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers license, no inspection sticker

27 yr. old female of Lowell – Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers license

26 yr. old male of Dracut – Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver license

Public Schools & town offices closed on Monday

Tyngsborough Public Schools & town hall are closed on Monday.  Also, trash pick-up has been moved to Tuesday.  

If you do not have to drive please stay off the roads, road conditions continue to be very poor.

If you have any concerns for family, friends or neighbors who may be at risk or need assistance during this snowstorm please contact the police department at 978-649-7504, an officer will check on them.

 

Please clear the snow off of your vehicle!

A reminder for the few people who leave piles of snow on your roof in the hope that it blows off on the highway, it is your responsibility to clear the snow off your vehicle before you drive it;  you are liable for any damage or injury that occurs to other drivers on the road as a result of the snow & ice blowing off your vehicle.  Please take the few minutes it requires and clear your vehicle off.

Lax & the Law is cancelled

Lax & the Law scheduled for tonight at the Tyngsborough Sports Center is cancelled, there is no make-up date scheduled.

Public Street parking ban effective at midnight

Effective at midnight tonight and throughout the duration of the expected snowstorm there is no parking on public streets in Tyngsborough, your vehicle is subject to being towed at the owners expense.  Please help us keep the roads clear for our Highway Department to plow our roadways.
