Cazadores restaurant damage / suspect confessed

I am very pleased to announce that the suspect who intentionally damaged the awning of Cazadores Restaurant, which was caught on video and distributed via the media, has turned himself in and confessed.   Cazadores restaurant has declined prosecution in return for an agreement of full restitution of the damage this person caused at the restaurant.  This is a quick and successful resolution for a small business in our town, and the overwhelming response by the public and media made it happen.   As no criminal charges are being filed, the suspects name will not be released by our agency.  Thank you!

Lowell’s Public Safety agencies have seen four fatal opiate overdoses in the past twelve hours. We believe these overdoses were a mix of heroin/fentanyl and cocaine/fentanyl. There appears to be a lethal batch of opiates in the Greater Lowell area. We strongly urge people not to use opiates, but if you or your loved one is suffering from addiction, please be extra vigilant in the coming days. Do not use alone, check on your loved ones frequently if they may be using opiates, and call 911 immediately if you witness an overdose.
