Power outages

We have been advised of power outages in the area of; TYNG RD, WORDEN RD, MISSION RD, DUNSTABLE RD, DUPRAS RD, CORMIER AVE, MICHAEL DR, HAMBLETT AVE, BROOKLYN ST, FIRST ST.   National Grid is estimating between 4 – 4 1/2 hours to restoration.

Power outages

We have been notified of power outages in the area of; SCRIBNER RD, CHESTNUT RD, MASSAPOAG RD, WESTFORD RD, GROTON RD, JACQUES RD, NEVADA RD, VIRGINIA RD, APPALOOSA CIR, DAVIS RD affecting 789 customers.  National Grid is reporting a 2 – 2 1/2 hour restoration time.

Norris Road closed; High School to Frost Rd.

A telephone pole has come down and taken power lines with it on Norris Road between Frost Road and the High School.  Power is also out in this area.  National Grid has been notified and is responding.  Please seek alternative routes from the Norris / Lawrence Road side of the school.

There are also numerous other trees and power lines down throughout town causing power outages.  We will keep you updated as we receive restoration time, which will likely be delayed until the high winds subside.

Please stay safe, and do not approach or attempt to drive under power lines that are down.

Public Street parking ban in effect at 9pm

Effective at 9 pm today there is a public street parking ban, which will last for the duration of the expected snowfall, and it’s subsequent cleanup.  Your vehicle is subject to being towed without notice if parked on a public street during this time.  Please help us by keeping the roadways clear for our town Highway Department.

49 yr. old male of Dracut – Warrant for a past Domestic Assault & Battery, also charged with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor vehicle, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, no inspection sticker

25 yr. old male of Lowell – Warrant for past criminal motor vehicle charges; also charged with Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle

36 yr. old male of Dracut – OUI Liquor, Operating a motor vehicle as to endanger, Leaving the Scene of Property Damage,
