2012 August 14 TPD Joins NIXLE

NIXLE

The Tyngsborough police department is pleased to report that we are now using a free service provided by Nixle.  Nixle is a community information service that will allow residents and other citizens who work, shop or have loved ones in Tyngsborough to receive texts and emails when the Tyngsborough Police Department posts important information.

There are three levels of notifications:

1. ALERTS for information people must know like wanted persons or severe weather hazards.

2. ADVISORY for need to know information like traffic issues, road closures, police activity.

3. COMMUNITY for upcoming events, news, etc.

You can sign up for these alerts to come to you mobile phone and/or email address.  You can choose which levels of notifications come to your phone, whether you want only alerts, or alerts and advisories or all of them.

To sign up for this service or find more information, the website is www.nixle.com.
