Press release on arrest

On Saturday, February 6th at 3 pm officers responded to Colony Heights Condos for a report of a possible stolen vehicle which had been located there.  Officers arrived to find a subject standing next to this vehicle; the vehicle had been previously stolen from Modern Auto Sales in Tyngsborough 30 minutes prior.  The subject stated that the vehicle was his, officers then attempted to take the subject into custody for larceny of a motor vehicle.  The subject was uncooperative and when officers attempted to handcuff him he struck one police officer in the face with a closed fist.  He then continued to be combative and fought with the two officers attempting to take him into custody, one officer then deployed a taser which resulted in the subject being taken into custody without further incident.

The subject; Harris Jordan, 27 yrs. old of Fall River, MA was charged with the following;

  • Larceny of a motor vehicle
  • Assault & Battery on a Police Officer
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Straight warrant out of Lowell District Court
  • Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended drivers license
