Robbery of Sun City Variety

On Sunday August 3rd at 3 pm the Tyngsborough Police Department received a call from Sun City Variety located on Lakeview Ave, the caller reported that they had just been robbed by a single black male.

The victim reported that a subject who they described as a black male reportedly entered the store and walked directly to the cash register and demanded money, the suspect held onto his waist band and claimed to have a gun.  The employee handed over an amount of cash that is not being disclosed at this time.  This subject also demanded cash from the Keno and Lottery machine however as the employee was attempting to comply the subject walked out of the store.  This subject was seen running from the scene and then jumped into a vehicle which was parked near Oak Ave.  The vehicle is described as a white or silver Honda Accord or Nissan Altima with a damaged rear end.   Another witness described the vehicle as being a silver Kia or Toyota sedan.

The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall, heavyset between 220 and 235 lbs., wearing black sweat pants with a stripe down the side, a red shirt or jacket and a black mask.  Another witness described the subject as having a red or purple shirt with fluorescent on the sleeves.
