Search warrant executed; 2 people arrested on drug and firearm charges

On May 9th members of the Tyngsborough Police Department’s detective and narcotics unit, along with officers from Lowell, Dracut, Westford, Chelmsford and the State Police executed a search warrant at 7 Pleasantview Ave. in Tyngsborough.  This warrant was executed after a lengthy investigation into the distribution of pharmaceutical drugs from that residence.  The Police Agencies assisting in this operation were working under a newly formed Memorandum of Understanding, created to enhance cooperation and improve investigative capabilities between agencies.

Seized in the residence were numerous pharmaceutical drugs, a stolen firearm and over $3,000 in cash.

Arrested were John Brownell, 22 years of age from 7 Pleasantview Ave; he is charged with possession of class B drugs with intent to distribute, possession of class B drugs with intent to distribute in a school zone, conspiracy to violate drug laws, unlawful possession of a  firearm without proper licensing, unlawful possession of ammunition and receiving stolen property over $250 to wit a firearm.

Also arrested was Courtney Queen, 22 years old of 7 Pleasantview Ave;  She is charged with possession of class B drugs with intent to distribute, possession of class B drugs with intent to distribute in a school zone and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Supplemental release

As a result of an ongoing investigation John Brownell is also being charged with possession of Class E with intent to distribute, possession of Class E in a school zone with intent to distribute, possession of class C with intent to distribute, possession of class C with intent to distribute in a school zone and possession of a counterfeit note (fake $100 bill).

In addition to the above charges Courtney Queen is being charged with possession of Class E with intent to distribute, possession of Class E in a school zone with intent to distribute, possession of class C with intent to distribute and possession of class C with intent to distribute in a school zone.

The firearm that was recovered was stolen during a residential break and entering in Methuen in 2009.
