An investigation into a rash of residential burglaries involving the Tyngsborough Police Department, Dracut, Hudson, Pelham and other NH communities has resulted in the arrest of two individuals. Matthew Szczechura, 29 yrs old of Pelham and Jeffrey Lavoie, 26 yrs old of Hudson were stopped in Pelham, NH by detectives from numerous agencies including Tyngsborough on Monday. Their vehicle was found to contain numerous stolen items that were from residential burglaries that they had just committed. At this point over 80% of the property stolen in the five Tyngsborough burglaries has been recovered and the home owners have been notified. These two subjects are believed to be responsible for at least 17 house breaks in the area.
They are currently being held in New Hampshire on numerous charges relating to the string of house burglaries. The Tyngsborough Police Department will also be filing charges relating to the five recent house breaks and will request that arrest warrants are issued in Massachusetts for the two subjects.
An investigation is continuing which includes our attempt to recover additional items which were stolen from Tyngsborough home owners.
